PORTRAITURE
By its nature, a portrait is a very personal thing. Some like poses, some don't. My favourite portraits are those that appear to capture an authentic moment, expression, or feeling within an environment that is meaningful to the subject.
Whether photographing people or pets, creating the right setting and circumstances is as much a part of the photographer's job as taking the photo itself - a challenge to be sure, and one that requires a special connection between the subject and the photographer. This connection is something I take the time to cultivate, resulting in photographs that will be cherished among loved ones forever.
